Well you say it’s a truth but I know it’s a lie I can tell by the look in your eye. Well you say it’s a fact, but in fact it’s made up – a little something for the two of us. It’s always something. Always gotta be something. Always gotta be something with you. What is the something? Always gotta be something. Have you got something to prove? Well I don’t know what to do. I don’t really know what to say. I don’t really know what to do. I don’t really know what you’re thinking about. For All I know you’re telling the truth. For All I know you’re telling the truth. You can see by my face that I have shut down I don’t really want you around me. ‘Cause you say it’s the truth but I know it’s a lie. I can tell by the look in your eye. There’s always something. And I don’t really know what to say. And I don’t really know what to do. I don’t really know what you’re thinking about. For All I know you’re telling the truth. For All I know you’re telling the truth. I, I, I, I, I, I used to be so filled up with trust. And you you you you… Amazing how these things turn to rust There turning to dust and to dust and to dust and to dust oh… I don’t really know what to say. I don’t really know what to do. I don’t really know what you’re thinking about. For All I know you’re telling the truth. I don’t really know what to say. I don’t really know what to do. I don’t really know what you’re thinking about. For All I know you’re telling the truth. Could even be telling the truth.

about

For years Store Bought Cool have been playing together in a secret pursuit of fun. Their weekly rehearsals are a joy luck fight club that leaves the outside world behind. We cut out teeth jumping back and forth like a toddler who's had too much fizzy drink between bright happy indie pop and dark melodramatic blues while Delta Goodrem auditioned singers for The Voice in the next room and I guess we started to get OK.

Now in 2015 we emerge from our chrysalis to bring you our debut album - Take You To The Moon, an adventure that fuses haunting violins, twangy guitars, gospel vocal harmonies and garage sensibilities to construct an effort bursting at the seams with memorable tunes. It's a narrative of love and love lost featuring the singles For All I Know You're Telling The Truth, I Want You, and Don't Believe In Love, and a cover of Blind Melon's No Rain.

We had a lot of fun making it and are proud to say we got to work with Rohan Sfornica (of Dr Doctor, and Oh Mercy) who recorded and mixed a bunch of tracks, and Tom McFall (who's worked on recordings for REM, Weezer, Bloc Party and Stars) who mixed the ones Rohan didn't mix.

Take You To The Moon is an offering that will appeal to fans of indie rock, garage pop, electricity and sea cruises.
